PARK QUESTIONS

Ride Rock Creek is a downhill mountain park featuring beginner to professional level downhill trails that are only accessible via our shuttle system. It is about 800′ of drop. 

Our shop is open Friday-Sunday from 10-5pm. The trails and shuttles are also only open from 10-5pm, Friday-Sunday. Rental hours are from 10-5pm. Riding outside of our open hours is strictly prohibited and is considered trespassing.

Yes! Ride Rock Creek is only accessible by our shuttle system. You are never allowed to shuttle using your own vehicle. Pedaling is also prohibited as it is a safety hazard on our active shuttle road. 

No, there is currently no pedaling permitted at the park. It presents a danger to both the riders and the shuttle drivers. 

The park is only currently only open Friday-Sunday from 10am-5pm. There is absolutely no riding permitted while the park is closed. No pedaling, no shuttling, no trespassing Monday-Thursday.

Yes, the trails are open (almost) 365 days of the year, rain or shine. There are several days a year where the park is closed due to private events. Also, some trails may be closed due to weather/trail work. We post trail closures on our social media stories. 

We have refreshments such as water, gatorade, seltzers, and sodas. There are also trailside snacks and bars at the Adventure Center.  We’ve also partnered with Monte’s Subs in Hendersonville to provide a variety of subs. (Italian, Ham, Turkey, Veggie, and Gluten Free Italian). 

There is no tent or van camping allowed in our parking areas. Camping is available right down the road at Rock Creek Campground. We are not affiliated with Rock Creek Campground.

We take your health seriously and are taking all standard precautions and recommendations
based on current CDC and local/state health departments.

Yes! For your safety, we require a full-face helmet to be worn any time you are on your bike. We have these for sale in our shop and a limited number for rent as well.

TRAIL QUESTIONS

Ride Rock Creek is a bike park for everyone. We have trails ranging from beginner level to pro lines. Our trail map shows you which trails are made for each skill level. Keep in mind, the trails are rated as downhill mountain bike trails. 

The trails are rated as follows: Green-beginner, Blue- intermediate, Black- advanced/pro, Orange- freestyle

Yes, all the trails are downhill mountain bike trails and limited to bicycle use only. We do not allow hikers, horseback riders, or dogs in the trail system. Riders are not permitted to ride outside the marked trails, up the trails, or up the shuttle road.

The trails were designed by Neko Mulally and built by the Ride Kanuga Trail Crew.

No, hikers are not permitted on any of the trails or the shuttle road. There is hiking available locally in DuPont State Forest and Pisgah National Forest.

Pets are not allowed within the bike park. They must also be on a leash while around the establishment. Pets are not permitted to accompany spectators during events. 

PASS QUESTIONS

Passes can be obtained online or at the Adventure Center Friday-Sunday 10-5pm.

Yes, waivers are required for anyone on the property. Children under 18 will need a parent/guardian signature. You can sign the waiver here

We have four types of passes: season, monthly, joint monthly, and daily.

Season pass holders have unlimited access to the trails during the respective season. The seasons are broken into two six month blocks. The fall/winter season is from November 1st, 2022 to April 30th, 2023. The spring/summer season is from May 1st, 2023 to October 31st, 2023. These passes are NOT retroactive and begin and end on the dates posted above. All pass holders must check-in to get a wristband before being allowed on the shuttle.

The monthly membership allows for unlimited access of only Ride Rock Creek during open hours. It is good for 30 days from date of purchase and is automatically renewed each month if purchased online. It can be cancelled at any time and there are no refunds. If purchased on-site, it does not auto-renew. All pass holders must check-in to get a wristband before being allowed on the shuttle. 

The joint monthly membership allows for unlimited access of both Ride Rock Creek and Ride Kanuga during open hours. It is good for 30 days from date of purchase and is automatically renewed each month if purchased online. It can be cancelled at any time and there are no refunds. If purchased on-site, it does not auto-renew. All pass holders must check-in to get a wristband before being allowed on the shuttle. 

Daily passes are available online and on site from Friday to Sunday 10-5pm. All pass holders must check-in to get a wristband before being allowed on the shuttle. 

No, but a waiver is required. You can sign a waiver here. 

Spectating is only allowed during certain events*

No, we have an unlimited amount of passes available per day.

To change/cancel your monthly membership, check the email you received when you purchased the pass. In the email, there is a link to our site to edit your subscription. On the page, select ‘Hold’ or ‘Cancel’. It is up to the subscriber to cancel/change their membership. We do not offer refunds for subscriptions.

The park is open rain or shine, but if you’d like to change your pass to a different day, please inquire via email. 

We do not offer family packages or student. We do offer military discounts and lower rates for those under 18. We also have a discount for riders in the cycling industry. 

Daily, Monthly, Joint-Monthly, and Season gift certificates will be available on the Shop Merch page of our website soon.

BIKE/rental QUESTIONS

We’re stoked to offer Propain downhill and freeride bikes! We have them in a variety of sizes. To book, click on the rental page of our site. 

Sycamore Cycles and The Hub in Pisgah Forest both rent bikes 7 days a week.

Yes, e-bikes are allowed. However, they cannot be ridden up the mountain

AREA/other QUESTIONS

We are 17 miles from our other bike park, Ride Kanuga, we are also bordering Dupont State Forest, 16 miles from Pleasant Ridge Park, and 25 miles from Pisgah National Forest. 

In the event of an emergency, call 911. The local EMS will be dispatched. Please provide as much information as possible including the type of incident, where you are located (trails, adventure center, parking lot, etc.).

Camping is available just down the road from the park at Rock Creek Campground. You must book through them as we are not affiliated. Cold Spring Basecamp is also right around the corner and they offer camping as well as cabins. 

Hotels are available in nearby cities, Hendersonville, NC and Travelers Rest, SC.

The area offers many attractions such as outdoor activities, breweries, and various dining choices.
