Group Jump Clinic with MTB Skills Factory and Cognition Coaching’s Portable Jump Line + Kanuga’s Dirt Jumps
MTB Skills Factory is teaming up with Cognition Coaching to bring their Portable Jump Line to Kanuga for this unique intro to jumping clinic. Portable ramps are the best way to have an easily repeatable jump to be able to learn intentional skill application to jump with control and confidence. Once we get comfortable with the basic techniques on the portable jump line, we’ll transition to the dirt jump lines at Kanuga. A great way to learn, practice, AND apply.
You can also register for the Intermediate to Advanced Jump Clinic 1pm-4pm on the same day if you want to have a full day of practice!
This clinic is appropriate for all level riders wanting to learn to jump with more intention, control, and confidence.
Riders who have never had their wheels off the ground will learn proper technique to get started, get PLENTY of repeatable practice on the portable jump line, AND be able to ride the Green Rated dirt jump lines at Kanuga.
Intermediate and advanced level jumpers will benefit from going back to basics, refining the essential fundamentals to jump with control.
The two primary instructors for this clinic are some of the most experienced and qualified coaches in the country:
Josh Whitmore – PMBIA Level 3 “Air” and “Tech” instructor, head coach of MTB Skills Factory
Ben Tufford – BICP Level 3 instructor, head coach of Cognition Coaching
We’ll start with an intro to listen to your previous experience and goals, then set expectations and a plan for the clinic
Then, we’ll move into a skills assessment and move through the essential pre-requisite skills including Body Position / Balance and creating effective “Press and Absorb” technique
We’ll start on the portable ramps/landings to get lots of practice with using these skills on actual jumps.
Then we’ll take it to the Green rated dirt jump line here at Kanuga.
